LinkedIn Learning is a leading online educational platform with over 20,000 tutorials and courses taught by recognized industry experts. Faculty can integrate this tool in their courses to tap into rich classroom content, students can gain skills certifications and fill gaps in learning, and employees to stay current and grow their skills. It is offered at no cost to students, faculty, and staff.

Curated Learning Paths

The platform offers personalized learning paths that are curated based on content you have already accessed and trending skills in your field.  Faculty & staff also have the option to curate their own learning paths to share with colleagues and students.  Use this link to request curator access.

Seamless Integration with LinkedIn

LinkedIn Learning will maintain a historical record of the courses you have completed as well as any badges and certifications earned through the platform.  These can be displayed on your LinkedIn profile to share with your network and potential employers.

No, this platform is offered at no cost to all current MSU students, faculty, and staff.

No, this is an optional integration.  You can opt out of connecting your accounts during the initial activation.  If you decide you would like to connect your profiles later, you have the ability to do so.

MSU cannot access your LinkedIn account activity through LinkedIn Learning.  MSU only has access to your learning history in LinkedIn Learning.  This information is used to recommend related materials and for usage reports. 

  1. If you have an existing LinkedIn account, please log out.
  2. New and existing users will click on the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/learning/login. This link is also available in 'My Resources' on your MyState home page.
  3. Sign on using your MSU NetID email address: netid@msstate.edu (note that aliases or other MSU departmental email addresses will not work in this step. You will need to log in using your MSU NetID.)
    • If you are new to LinkedIn Learning, you should only need to sign-on to complete the integration.
    • If you are an existing user of LinkedIn Learning, you will be prompted to combine your accounts into a single account.  You can opt out of connecting your profiles, but the integration provides one-click access to LinkedIn Learning from LinkedIn.
